A group of three friends, after graduating college, decided to leave their hometown and go to sunny California in the pursuit of their dream - creating a web platform for educational facilities to organize courses and improve communication. By putting their savings together the friends were able to buy out an Eichler house to use as a headquarters to house their 10 - employee start-up.
The clients requested a space that was both functional and distinctive without the sense of confinement. Communication is vital within the company, not only verbal but also visual; therefore, it was important to divide spaces for casual work from desk areas, but still maintain transparency in appropriate partitions. The clients also specified that they would prefer to have separate spaces dedicated to recreational activities, as well as a casual conversation pit.
